Game booster 3

ABOUT
How does it work?

Game Booster temporarily stops unnecessary processes, halts non-critical system services and free’s allocated memory (a function similar to CleanMem). Game Booster is also able to create a “gaming environment” that leaves only the gaming window on the desktop; ensuring that you won’t be interrupted by other programs while you’re playing.

Ending running processes on your system prior to launching a game can significantly improve game responsiveness. A background program could access the same underlying system API’s and runtime files as your game; which could cause I/O bottlenecks, temporary game freezes; or even crashes.

Tweaking Tools

Game Booster’s “tweaking” tool automatically changes settings inside the Windows registry in an attempt to improve system performance. Make sure you read the description of each recommended change carefully; as many have negative side effects. If you’re not sure whether something should be changed, it’s best to leave it alone.

Game Booster can also defragment the files associated with individual games. While this is a great way to quickly improve the performance of a single application; performing defragmentation on only a tiny subset of the filesystem can result in increased fragmentation on the rest of the drive. It’s best to leave this function alone and just use Window’s built in defragmentation tool.
